* Features:
Combines the quadruple functions of suction, electrocoagulation,curetting
and dissection. Eliminates the need for frequent instruments changes during
operations, and thus, saves operation time, reduces Haemorrhage, and greatly
improves the quality of operations.
It also sucks out harmful plume produced during electrocoagulation, to
the benefit of the medical staff¡¯s health. It is particularly suited for
operations of lymphonode dissection, cholecystectomy, hepatectomy,
retictoperitoneal tumour resection, thyroidectomy, mastectomy, etc.
* Installation of PMOD
Suction pipe is connected with suction apparatus through tube,
and switch can be
controlled automatically, or by the operator himself. Wire is connected
with electrosurgical generator, such as Force2, Aspen, Birtcher 4400,
Siemens, Hutong, etc. PMOD I is single plug,and out company can provide
intermediate sockets and plugs for various electrosurgical generators.
Operation tips:
* Suction tube is connected by a short segment of corrugated soft tube to the snout of PMOD.
* Cutting skin and peritoneum, then getting into abdominal cavity, removing or withdrawing
back electric blade.
* While electrocoagulation, use bevel edge to contact tissue.
* While dissecting, assistant must maintain the tension of the tissue being dissected.
* While curetting and dissecting, electric cutter must not be electrified.
* Electrocoagulation is usually used instead of electric cutting, except skin incision.
* Electrocoagulation power is adjustable. When power is not enough, electroceagulative
effect is not satisfactory, and power shall be adjusted to higher than 60-80W. Even
as high as to 120W during transecting liver parenchyma.
* Applicability:
PMOD is suitable for all operations requiring both electrocoagulation and suction such
as general surgery, thoracic surgery, surgical oncology, neurosurgery or thopaedics,
urolgical surgery, oral surgery and ENT etc.
Notices:
In order to avoid cross-infection, PMOD is disposable.
